SURROUNDINGS

The village is surrounded by beautiful natural attractions, from the mountains to the countryside to the sea.

The closest reference point is certainly the small fishing village of Santa Lucia overlooking the sea, from where there is a long sandy beach which reaches the other hamlet of Siniscola, La Caletta, where the port is located.

Not far away, about 5 km, is the beach of Capo Comino, famous for its sand dunes and clear water.

Some scenes of the 1974 film "Swept Away” (by au unusual destiny in the blue sea of august) by Lina Wertmueller were shot here.

The beach of La Caletta and Capo Comino are connected by a large pine forest that overlooks the rocky coast, interspersed with several small beaches, known as “confetti beaches” because of the small stones, smoothed by the sea and the wind, which make up the beaches.

Farther away, about 14 km, there is the famous beach Berchida, named several times the most beautiful in the Mediterranean. Here you will find one of the most remote and unspoiled paradises of Sardinia, white sand and crystal clear water, with nothing to envy to the remotest beauty of the Tropics, the Caribbean and similar.

At 9 km there is Siniscola, the main municipality, from which you can access the super-road SS 131, the main hub through which you can reach the most important sites of the island.

Above the town of Siniscola, at approximately 20 km, stands the Monte Albo, with its 1127 meters above sea level it is one of the highest peaks of Sardinia. Here you can find all the typical Sardinian mountain fauna and flora, pure air and spring water.

Nearby you can also enjoy various facilities, such as: horse riding, sailing, kite and windsurfing, diving schools and the port, where you can rent boats and take the motorboat to visit the coast and the sea caves.
